Intro to Internet Summary

A. What was the most valuable component to you?

I'd have to say for this question that I really learned a lot in this class about using the internet and the history of it. Some of the things that come to value are the blogs that I have created. I consider this one of the most valuable components that I have used since it lets me tell people what I think about something. Also for assignments it really comes in handy. One of the best things I like about the blogs is that you can let your friends know something about an assignment if they don't know about it. The last thing that I like about it, is the fact that you can help each other with homework too.

B. How do you think you apply what you learned to you future?

I will be applying much of this information that I have learned over this past semester to my future. Since I am going into computers, I have to know how to send emails, and post blogs. That is a defenite if I am going into that field of business. Also the html tags will come in handy one day since I probably will have to let people know information about me, and they will have to get in touch with me. Overall I think this is one of the best internet classes that you can take.

We are still working on the wiki spaces and Mariah is the lazy peroson of the group. Lol just kidding. I'm almost done with my part, but im spicing things up a little. I'm adding a little animation to make this page a little more intresting. Don't worry our group will be just fine.

Post 9/19/06

Today was a great day in Intro to Computers. I found out that there are four people in my group, Jason, Mariah, Tim, and me. We are creating a wiki space, answering questions on it and posting it as you can see. I am already done with me part with the questions and I am helping out anyone else that needs help. This assingnment is very fun.

Unit 2 Wiki's

What are the similarities and differences between a blog and a wiki?
Some of the similarities are you can post info and see what other people like and dislike. Some of the differences are that many people can own a wiki, also you can make changes , but in a blog you can't since only one person own's it.

Discuss your experiences starting a wiki. What did you have problems with, what seemed easy, etc. Make sure you add a link to your wiki.
When I first started making a wiki it was kind of complicated, because the internet kept dragging and I couldn't find the tabs to edit the page. After that it got really easy since my teacher explained everything very well. What seemed easy was posting info about you.
Here is the link to my wiki. http://lynxpitcher33.wikispaces.com/
